West and north: the Safeways
Coming around the west side of the lake or in from I-80, the Safeway in Tahoe City and the Safeway in Truckee are the reliable anchors. Stock up on groceries while the car drinks, and you arrive at the house with both jobs done.
East side: the Raley’s
On the Nevada side and the 267 corridor, the Raley’s near Martis Camp outside Truckee and the Raley’s in Incline Village play the same role. Incline is about 15 minutes from Tahoe Vista, so it doubles as the closest dependable public charging to the lodge.
The Kings Beach gap
Here is the catch for the immediate neighborhood: there is no public charger in the Kings Beach–Tahoe Vista stretch itself. If you are staying on this part of the shore, plan to top up in Incline Village, Truckee, or Tahoe City as part of a grocery or dinner run rather than counting on a charge around the corner.
